Please note: all prices are
quoted in US Dollars. Please also note that, these prices are low, in absolute
and relative terms, because all the said rates are much subsidised, while
many related services are provided by volunteers and the
fact that our project is a non- profit organisation.
1. Preliminary Programme:
1-
Monday- 18th April, Arrival of delegates to Nairobi-transfer to Hotel.
2-
Tuesday- 19th--All day sight seeing, cultural, faith,
educational, Governmental visits. Lunch, afternoon tea and dinner to be
provided by our hosts and supporters of the conference.( Lunch: Brahma Kumaris-World
Spiritual University; Dinner: Jain Temple and Heritage Centre)
3-
Wednesday- 20th, departure by road, through some of the most beautiful country
side, for Kericho (the main Conference venue). Lunch will be at
Elementaita Lodge. Arrive in Kericho- around 4.00pm. Settle down, relax, dinner
and a brief introduction and "house keeping" matters.
4-
Thursday 21st to Sunday 24th (12 Noon ) Conference main work: Paper
presentations, keynote speeches, work shops and seminars. In the evenings, we
will have many cultural, social activities, an inter-faith music gala and
the Gala Dinner on Saturday.
5-
Sunday- 24th, at 2.00pm, depart for Lake Naivasha Lodge. Arriving at 5.pm,
enjoying a relaxing dinner and over night stay.
6-
Monday- 25th, depart Lake Naivasha Lodge at 9.00am for Makindu via Nairobi.
Makindu is a small trading centre with a historic Sikh Gurdwara about 100 miles
from Nairobi on the Nairobi/Mombasa Highway. Arrive in Makindu Gurdwara at
2.00pm, where we will stay over night, fresh for our journey to Mombasa, next
day.

Tuesday-26th, depart Makindu at 7.00am and arrive Mombasa at 12.00 Noon,
staying at our hotel. Lunch, dinner, social and cultural activities.
8-
Wednesday- 27th, a full programme of introduction to this beautiful, historical
city, including visiting historical places, Fort Jesus, Old Town, Religious and
Cultural places and more. At night, Good bye Party Dinner.
9-
Thursday- 28th April, depart by Air for Nairobi for connections on to
international flights.
10-
For those interested, we have also organised a full- board, 2nights/3 days
Safari to Masai Mara(from Nairobi). See below for prices.
Please note:
Those who intend to participate in the academic programme only (Nairobi and
Kericho) can do so (arrival in Nairobi on the 18th April departure
from Kericho to Nairobi Airport on the 24th April). The cost for
road transportation will be reduced to $90 in this case.
Costing
Structure:
1- Nairobi, Hotel(4 star) $60.00 pppn-Single room and
$40.00pppn Double room, including breakfast. We will be in Nairobi for 2
nights.
( Lunch at Elementaita Lodge, on way to Kericho, $10.00pp)
2- Kericho. We will be staying at the Hospitality
Quarters at the Gurdwara. All our accommodation and vegetarian food will be
provided free of charge. However, accommodation will be in shared rooms. Those
coming with family or friends will be accommodated together in one room for
themselves. If for any reason you would not like to share, etc, you can stay at
the famous Hotel, the Tea Hotel. Prices: single room $35.00 pppn, Double
room $25.00 pppn (Including breakfast). We will be in Kericho for 4 nights.
Your vegetarian food will be free of charge at the Gurdwara.
3- Lake Naivasha Lodge, Room, breakfast and Evening meal,
Single room $80.00pppn and Double room $55.00pppn. We will be at Lake Naivasha
for 1 night.
4- Makindu, staying at the Gurdwara, room and broad, free of
charge.
6- Mombasa, 2 nights (4 star hotel) Room, breakfast,
dinner, $ 45.00 pppn-Single room and $30.00 pppn, sharing a double room (Please note: this rate has significantly
been subsidised by the Hayer Group). Lunch, afternoon tea, cultural and
social entertainment to be provided by the Faith, Cultural and Business
associations).
7- Mombasa to Nairobi by Air, $55.00 per person.
8- Road transport through out our Conference: We have to
hire mini coaches and drivers for the entire journey. You will be picked up at
the time of your arrival at Nairobi Airport on Monday the 18th and the coaches
will stay with us until our journey by road finishes in Mombasa. The
total cost is: $130 per person.
9- Conference Registration Fee: $70.00 per person. For other categories please see below
